Probations are discussed at meetings PDF Print E-mail

This varies somewhat from group to group. Usually there is a presentation on one of the probation topics and a discussion may follow. A large group may divide into small groups of 4-6 for the discussion. Those in formation, aspirantship or guests are not expected to alter their study schedule, but rather participate as able.

There is a rotation schedule, followed amongst groups for those who have completed formation; reviewing three probations each year. These three topics are chosen by the combined councils of the lay and religious branches which meet together once a year, usually in the spring. Every six years, coinciding with a general assembly, there is a "Year of Renewal" when we return to selected probations of the initial formation.
