12-01-11 Update- The cause for beatification of our foundress is progressing. She will be discussed in the Congress of Theologians March 16, 2012, on that which concerns the approbation of heroic virtues. The documents have been sent in this summer to the theologians who read and study them. If the Congress of Theologians are positive, the cause ought to pass then to the Ordinary Session of Cardinals and, finally, before Saint Peter, for the approbation of heroic virtues. Thanks to the Lord for this advance which ought to urge us to pray still more to obtain the beatification of Madame Carre de Malberg.
9-9-2011 Update- Recently it was reported in the local newspaper for the Eastern Region of France that Madame Carre is next on the list of persons to be beatified in the diocese of Metz. Let us pray that our foundress might be counted among the blessed! May she, from the heights of heaven, obtain for us all the necessary graces so that we might be able to evangelize our world today. Offering our sufferiing or our work in service to the Society, mutual support in sharing this hope, the smile which lights up the face through tears, that is the work of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.
Over one hundred years ago, in June, 1909, our founder Caroline Carré was pronounced Venerable in a decree by the Diocese of Metz, France. (The title of venerable is given to those whose cause for beatification and canonization has been officially accepted for consideration by the Vatican.)

In October, 2007 General Directress Annie Trabichet reported to the attendees of Companion Conference in Chicago, IL that Caroline Carré was #56 on the list of candidates being considered for beatification by the Vatican. More recently at the May, 2009 General Assembly in France, we learned that our postulator for the cause, Fr. Charles Cauty-Ancel had recently moved from Lorry, France to Jerusalem due to illness and advanced age. In seeking advisement from the Vatican, it was recommended that a new postulator is needed with a preference towards someone residing in Rome who can make frequent inquiries. Currently a French religious living in Rome known to the SMMI's is being contacted for this purpose.

Our Prayer for the Cause of Our Co-Founder's Beatification and Canonization
Lord, you put in the heart of Venerable Caroline Carré de Malberg
the desire to love you without refusing you anything.
She answered this call through her life as wife and mother
and in founding with Father Henri Chaumount a spiritual family.
We, the grateful members of this family, pray that you grant us
the graces that we are requesting through her intercession,
so that her goodness and holiness may be recognized,
and one day the church proclaim her a saint.
May her life inspire us to lead a devout life in your service.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
